Project Statement

I have long been fascinated by rust. Old dumpsters, abandoned buildings, and any metal object touched by the passage of time.

Weathered Grace explores Time as an artist. Through rust, oxidation, peeling paint, and years of exposure, Time transforms ordinary metal into luminous compositions of color, texture, and form. Removed from their original context, these weathered surfaces become abstractions that invite closer looking and reveal unexpected beauty.

Rather than celebrating decay, these photographs celebrate transformation, suggesting that time does not simply diminish what it touches—it creates something new, finding beauty not in perfection, but in endurance, change, and grace.

The artist is time itself. I come along and record what I see. These photographs are a collaboration between two artists–Time and me.
